Knouse Foods is a privately held co-op growing and marketing apple and fruit products, juices, pie fillings, puddings and cheese sauces under labels such as “Lucky Leaf” and “Musselman”. Sales responsibility for states of Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, and Arkansas. Managed seven sales brokers whose responsibility was new sales and sales penetration with the distributors and direct customers in the region. Fiscal year regional sales just completed were in excess of $11.7 million.

In July of 2001, I was named Project Manager for the IEP (Image Enhancement Program), which was a prototype re-imaging campaign to reposition, and remodel test stores in specific geographic regions. To date, three completed stores have achieved both sales and customer count increases vs. previous year results.

Duties included merchandising, promoting, and extensive field sales support. In addition to “street accounts”, I worked closely with chain accounts such as WesterN SizzliN, Shoney’s, Capt. D’s, Country Cookin, Hooters, and the Compass Group. Produced twice-annual food show expo including site procurement, theme and decoration, and sales tracking and results.
1985-1991 Magistrate Commonwealth of Virginia
Served out partial term and one full term in the 23rd Judicial District. Duties included various civil procedures, issuing proper paperwork as it applied to the commission of a crime, commitments and releases from confinement, and juvenile and mental detention hearings. During this term, I also earned Continuing Legal Education credits through the Commonwealth of Virginia.
